It works brilliantly now. I didnt realise that when you make copies of a lod it adds the words "copy of" to the name of the file. With these removed the williams now appears!

Just one thing:
I've noticed that the number font is not right.

See? I don't know if it's quite clear but the "1" is different.

So I decided to look for a font who may be more appropriate.
I think the "SimHei" font can make it (but it's not perfect):

It's still a very great work you've done ;)

I know that people have solved their issues with the lower lods.

@paolo-Are you still going to work on the lower lods?
I hope so.
I use lower lods in order to keep the processor occupancy down.
Copying the high lods and renaming them as lower lods will not help my processor occupancy.

Hi guys,

I'm sorry but I'm pretty new to this modding stuff. I've tried to read everything on it but still can't get this to work, I'm sure I'm just being dim. Can somebody help?

So I've extracted cars.wad and replaced the lod files. I took car_williams_car1_lod_0.gp4 and made copies which i called car_williams_car1_lod_1.gp4 car_williams_car1_lod_2.gp4 car_williams_car1_lod_3.gp4 and car_williams_car1_lod_4.gp4 and i ded the same for car 2.

I then loaded the 4 tex files into the wad as they are and deleted the old hi_williams_1.tex (etc) files.

Im running the game on 1600 x 1200. I'm just getting the white car problem.

So, you lovely experts out there, what mistake (probably a dopey one) am I making?

Thank you.
James
