Sorry to be a pain in bringing this thread up. Just started getting into Zmodeler, so i can start making renders, anywho, i have a problem, i can import the carshape into ZM but when i apply the textures it applies it to every part of the car, i have done what it says in the 1st part of this tutorial. Any suggestions please.
AS you can see the texture in on the bottom also.

From a total noob, help is very much appreciated

There are normally 2 - 3 materials for each car, the main texture, and a carbon fibre tex / car_interior tex. Make sure you have both of these, and check the material list

There should be some render tire sets around. If you've imported a single front / rear tire, merge the objects (for front first, then do the rear) and then go to Modify > Move, and make sure you use either H - Horiztonal, or V - Vertical move. It's best to work in top view to get them in the right position, then move them up / down in the left / right view. H, V and D commands are at the top of the toolbar next to the import / export and save / open icons.

As a footnote, I suggest you experiment with both ZM and 3ds max before you start rendering. Follow some modelling tutorials, anything at all, it will help a lot

Tom, Can I post your tutorial on RaceSimulations.com? People is interested rendering with Brazil + HDRI and, for the moment I have no time to do one from Scrathc... I made one for this site only with Brazil... so I will add this and you will be credited ;-)

Thanks anyway!

This is about rendering, not about designing.
