2023 GP4 Time Limited Race and Time Trial Leagues

Hello everyone,

We will run a Time Limited Race League and Time Trial League for 2023 season.
The races will follow the real F1 callendar.

Time Trial League (TTL) is a hotlap competition same as F1virtual and friends run last year. You may check the rules here.

Time Limited Race League (TLRL) is a quickrace competition. Simply described as, driving a quickrace in 1 hour, and upload the save files in that 1 hour.

The rules are,

Race length: %30
Fps: 40
Starting position: 1
Pitstop: at least 1 (mandatory)
Replay time: 50 minute
PO should be lower than %100 in every lap. So please setup the graphics for a lower PO.
Changes in the “Advanced Setup” menu screen are forbidden
Car failures none - Opposition Spread : 2001 level - Player car only : no

1 hour time will start after you create and upload a simple text file to the google drive folder, that admin gave.
In 1 hour you should run your quickrace and upload the race save file.
Also you need to upload the fastest lap as hotlap save. You should pause the game in pitstop and save the fastest lap as hotlap and at the end of race if you had better lap.
Deadline for races are Sunday 13:00 UTC (10:00 Brasília Time, 15:00 Central European Summer Time).

We may run a pre-season race next week in The Fiorano Circuit.

I think the next thing to do is make a schedule for each event.

For Fiorano test i suggest that we dont do a pitstop because its really complicated to make it happend.
Its a test track.

Their are 2 tracks that we dont have: Miami and Las Vegas.
I refuse to use any of THIAGO ROCHA alias ID Livejackass, i think you may know why.

Anyway I better start driving a bit because i havent done any since we finished the 2022 TTL

i didnt understand what means "THIAGO ROCHA alias ID Livejackass" .
Anyway, we can use well known tracks for them. we can think about it when it comes close.

For the tracks to replace Miami and Las Vegas I think we should have Hockenheimring instead of Miami and Road America instead of Las Vegas. Just my suggestion

This is the link for Fiorano track. Thanks to F1virtual for track. Please use it in slot 1.

i checked, and pitstop didnt cause any problem for me. so lets do 1 pitsop. i will try a few more times to be sure it is safe to pit.

The pit stop regardless of anything has to be mandatory, if the track is the same for everyone, I see no reason to eliminate it.

Hi Jordhy,
It looks like cars may hit you at the exit of pit, so i want sure if it was safe. But it is safe i think. So 1 mandotary pitstop is the rule.

Lap time: 0:59.483 (split1 0:18.318, split2 0:41.964)

These were last years times.

I will try to pass gildoorfs time, Fongus time looks very far away at the moment.

At quickrace steady 1.00.xxx times would be great. due to hıgh downforce cars reach me ın straights, may be a different setup for race is needed.

Yeahh those hotlaps
My hotlap can be improved a bit. I did some testing and i did a 58.6 with a S2 2 tenths faster than the 58.2 from last year., but not worth the time to do it because we are not doing hotlaps
but i drove enought like that to get a feeling of the car and compared with race fuel.

As for the race i have tested the pitstops and its very tricky if you choose a car from the top 3 teams because of that so tight pit entrance
almost 50% chance to really miss the place to do the pitstop!!.

In general the track is nice to drive but really difficult to keep an even pace because its so easy to go outside or sometimes hit a wall where the bridge is.

I will continue testing.

I hadnt noticed before you said, yes for the first teams on grid pitstop is tricky, however we can choose cars without problems )) thanks you warned.
after a bit test, i got used to the track i think, it is really fun, especially after pitstops, overtaking cars without time loss is challenging. Waiting for the weekend to have my shot.

My new best time in Fiorano:

Lap time: 0:58.210 (split1 0:17.751, split2 0:40.929)

Could still be better, not happy with S2 and S3.
