Hey Aymeric; rather than resurrecting old posts to ask the same question and/or make the same point over and over, you might find you get more success if make one new post and ask for specific tracks.

Until recently gp4db.com was the primary repository but it is gone now and we've not really got reorganised yet.

For now, take a look at this thread.

Despite that I created a topic, nobody answers me (for the moment) which prevents me from installing my tracks and playing them without problem

Dude. If you've downloaded J Caranti's Melbourne 2014 (which is one of the ones you want, yes?), he has a simple four line explanation of how to install it in the Readme.txt in the track rar file.

Just so you know, TSM is just one way to install a track, but he's not telling you to use that. He's just laying in out in the readme: do this do that etc. As easy as it can be...

Are you seriously saying you can't follow what he says?

The files of the 2001 tracks, I have to put them somewhere in a folder outside GP4. To put it simply, I need a tutorial that is easy to understand instead of thinking "what's that worth saying" I have very little experience on this

It doesn't matter where you put them, you just need to get them out of the way to be able to drop JC's .dat and .wad into their place.

Then, if all goes well, you can delete the old 2001 dat and wad file for Melbourne if you want.

(You will learn by experience. It doesn't take long, but these first steps are often the most difficult. And just to check, have you have installed GPxPatch? (If you installed the 2014 mod you already have it) That is step one really - before you start updating tracks - then you load the game from GPxPatch.exe, rather than using the GP4.exe to run the game. Makes life easier).

1. Track files are located in the Tracks folder?. (an example, D:/GP4/Tracks)
2. yes I have already installed GPxPatch.

Yes, that would be fine.

But here's what I actually do for myself, step by step:

When I create a new mod I delete the CONTENTS of the GP4/circuits folder, ie the 17 .DAT files (and the WHOLE of the GP4/tracks folder if there is one). Then I delete the 17 track .WADS in the GP4 folder.

Now, that's all the 2001 tracks gone forever - so now we need to give the game some new tracks to use and tell it where to look for them.

So, I create a folder for each track in the circuits folder, eg GP4/Circuits/Melbourne etc

Then I put the .dat AND .wad for Melbourne into that folder.

Next I load up GPX Patch and go to the GPxTracks tab

Now I click the EDIT button on that page (and you'll see what DATs GPxPatch THINKS it has to load for each track) - so I click the button to the right of the line that says 01 and browse to the dat that I put in the GP4/Circuits folder earlier. Done.

Don't worry about the track WAD - as GPxPatch loads the .DAT it will automatically use the track WAD that it finds in the same folder.

And that's all there is to it really. Do this for all 17 tracks (ie you end up with 17 track folders in the Circuits folder, each containing the DAT and a WAD you want to use) and you're racing.

Note: Eventually you MIGHT come across a track that won't work using this procedure, but it's very rare (and fixable) - but you are VERY unlikely to run into any problems using JCs tracks, so we don't need to discuss this yet.

Have fun...

And if I want to play the other mods of which I have more than 17 mod tracks, it's the same?

The game only supports up to 17 track slots and the championship mode is also limited to 17 slots or less, but yes, all mods work in much the same way - so if you really want a season with 50 tracks in it, just play in non-championship mode and record your results in a spreadsheet or something.

Finally, my advice to you would be this: If in doubt, try it out! What's the worst that can happen?

I managed to install the Melbourne 2014 track on GP4. If I want to use its 2019 version, how do I do. It's an example
