backfire annoying

Could it be possible to tell the backfire not to keep firing permanently when it's raining? I'm aware it's coupled with the combined brake/rainlight function - so is there a way to separate those two features?

As the backfire is a work around using the rain light, I can't see how you can separate the two

You have to create 2 folders in the carset/data/cars like with and without backfire with proper image files into them and create this option in the globalvars and swap.iní files. There is no other way, you need to select rain and without backfire in the CSM configuration, assuming that you use CSM MOs.

Thank you for your instructions. I've just downloaded your 2020 DTM mod and tried it out immediately. It's actually a kind of masterpiece with incredible features in it - that's for sure!
For the moment I've some troubles to understand how they all work but hopefully I'll find it out by and by
I hope you don't mind if I ask you to help me out when I get stuck because of my limited knowledge of this sophisticated programming logic...
