WEC Mod

Might as well continue on the thread I started... but I've got the whole thing sorted now so im ready to get my career underway.

Round 1 will be the 4 (and a bit) hours of Bathurst race, which is going to be streamed live this Saturday at 7:30PM UK TIME at [www.twitch.tv]. Hopefully some of you can join me to get a good look at the Le Mans mod i've constructed, as well as chat all things GP4/Anything whatsoever.

I'll also be streaming qualifying for it Saturday Midday GMT, and possible any practise sessions I do in the build up to it so feel free to drop by for an early look.

As for the mod, the entry list looks like this:
LMP1
2 Audi R18 (Lotterer/Treluyer)
2 Toyota TS030 (Wurz/Nakajima)
2 Peugeot 908 (Davidson/Sarrazin)
2 Rebellion Lotus (Heidfeld/Prost)

LMP2
2 Pescarolo C60 (Pla/Lamy)
1 Lola EX257 (Tandy)
1 Courage C65 (Lapierre)

GT
3 Ferrari 458 (Vilander/Bruni/Fisichella)
2 Aston Martin DBR9 (Mucke/Sorensen)
2 Chevrolet C6R (Gavin/Magnussen)
1 BMW Z4 (Werner)
1 Audi R8 (Makowiecki)
1 Lamborghini Gallardo (Pilet)

Thanks to Gezere, Meteoro405 and the LMPS mod for great models. The mod is in a decent state but I don't quite have full permissions to release everything yet. When I have that and minor things such as driver images/gridcars are fixed I may well release it.

If anyone is interested in how the calendar from the above discussion turned out, this is what I got:
1) Bathurst
2) Korea
3) Singapore/Macau
4) Nordschleife (24H?)
5) Brno
6) Spa-Francorchamps
7) Madeira
8) Rolling Hills
9) Le Petit Sarthe (24H?)
10) Foetus circuit
11) Abu Dhabi
12) Uqbar
13) Bahrain endurance (24H?)
14) Ecuador/Interlagos '79
15) Miami
16) California
17) Circuit of the Americas

So another thing I could well make a trackpack of, but realistically for all of them its just setting it to 127 Laps. Hopefully all will be streamed where I can.

And thats all the information about this if people are interested. Perhaps a little too details for a personal career mode but ah what the hell. Any improvements on the mod (even something as small as better choice of drivers), or better selection of tracks is still welcome at this point.

Has that been made for GP4? If so it'd definitely be included!

Sebring but I'm not sure it has been made for GP4.

That's exactly the sort of thing I was looking for! Thanks, hadn't heard of this track before.

Isn't Uqbar too buggy for races that long?

If I've read that the track wasn't suitable for 100% distance races, let alone 3+ hours.

And Laputa? Hayao Miyazaki would be proud

Hmm i've not seen anything but i'll run some tests on it. I've heard similar rumours with the rolling hills circuit so I need to do some race distance tests.

Just curious, are these races going to be streamed publically?

I've always been curious about how well endurance racing would work in GP4 ;)

Yeh i'm planning to stream them on my twitch channel but I have no idea how well it will work!

Mainly it'll just be setting up for 127 laps and driving, but I'm also considering doing longer, up to 24 hour races where once the 127 laps is up another race is started with the grid being the places the last race ended (think of it as a competition caution ;)). But of course that'd be tough with stints and such, either 24 hours myself or trying to convince friends to get in on it with me...

First I need to sort out the mod!

Laputa is fine, it doesn't crash for me, but Adelaide 1995 does, but that's not written there! ;)

It's ok i think i can get by without Laputa now. And the reason Adelaide isn't on there is its quite a short track! Only 1:15 laptime!

Yeah make a 1000 laps race there! ;) Unfortunately we don't have the complete Nordschleife with its 21 or 22 kilometers, and probably we'll never have it, because that track is simply too big for GP4. :( Only one man might be able to change this fact....

If I could make a race 1000 laps id consider all tracks rather than just the long ones ;). Unfortunately the cap is 127 laps, 254 is possible but none of the AI cars pit and I don't think that's been solved yet...

I'll have to get in contact with Geoff and ask for a personal version of the full nordschleife!

Ah my apologies if its anywhere near as good as the kleine Nordschleife I'd love to get my hands on it! If you'd be ok with me driving a WIP version I'd happily include it in my calendar, I've got a couple of other WIP tracks such as Macau and Interlagos '79.

Haha i wish! If i was i'd probably ask for other things other than a track ;)
