how to increase FPS with f1 2020-2021 mods ?

Hi everyone,

I'm Manuel from Tuscany. I'm 41 and when I was teenager I played for years with Great Gp2 with all mods... I was pretty good to do everything by myself... But I stopped more than 20 years ago!!!

Now I'm looking for a light and easy f1 game because I don't have a strong PC and I want to introduce my son (7 years old) to this great world

I Found this great forum and I was very excited to discover that gp4 it's still alive and with very strong community.

Now I can install the mod with CSM and the new tracks ... but I have a problem with f1 2020 , the most recent mod, because the game goes only at 10 frame per second.

The 2001 version run without any problems.

---> Can you tell me why?
---> Have you got any suggestions ti solve it???

note: I'm also wondering if I could restart from original version and work by myself to change only
- driver's name
- phisical of the cars and performance
- livery 2021 or full cars
- slick tyre
- eventually but not very important is the shape of the cars

I don't care at the moment to steering wheel update or new f1 graphics in timing screen...

Do you think that it's a good idea for a rookie to do by himself that?
Can you suggest me the best guides to do that.
I see a very long list but I'm not sure what fit exactly for me.
