The file is an iso, so mount a virtual drive to read it.

[www.mediafire.com] Some say you should click it, you know you want to. :-) [www.gp4central.com] <----GP4 Central
i mounted the iso, then installed the game. what next it won't load all it does when i try to load the game is give a binkw32.dll error
The answer you seek is in the GP4FAQ, I suggest you take a look at it.

You have to keep mounting iso file even if you are playing from hard drive.

My laptop which I bought 2019 doesn't have cd slot so I have to mount "something"
on many different games. Usually when I mount gp4 iso file many other games work too
after.
I think that you should start again from a clean .iso (not patched). Whatever it was on windows 7 or Windows 10, I had no problem and I don't need the CD or iso to launch the game. I recommend you to install the game on the C: drive (where windows is installed). Before, be sure that your new PC is up to date with your drivers.
So, I hope that it will work for you:

- Step 1: Install the game with this .iso (personal one so, none risk): [mega.nz]
Chose full installation on the Setup menu.

- Step 2: Install the official patch 9.6: [www.mediafire.com]
Unzip the content of the archive into your C/ Programs(x86)/ Infogrames folder. (it should be installed into the right folder by default). Into C:\Programs(x86)\Infogrames\GP4_patch v9.6 folder: Launche the setup.exe.

- Step 3: Install the GP4_Nocd patch: [www.mediafire.com]
copy and past the gp4.exe file into your C:\Programs(x86)\Infogrames\Grand Prix 4 folder to replace the old one by this one.

*** Important: After step 3, it is necessary to launch the game once from the gp4.exe. You don't need to launch a game session. Once on the menu screen, just quit and save ***

- Step 4: Install Gpxpatch (last version available here): [rsdi.home.xs4all.nl]
Launch inst-gpxpatch(version) application. Once done, quit GpxPatch with the close button.

- Step 5: Install Zaz Tools: [www.mediafire.com]

- Step 6: Install Gp4Tweaker_v1045_Reloaded: [www.mediafire.com]
Look at the readme file inside the archive to install the files correctly.

- Step 7 (recommended): Install the 4GB patch: [www.mediafire.com]
Copy and paste the 4gb_patch.exe into your main Grand Prix 4 folder and double-click on it to install the patch. You should see a confirmation message on your screen.

Now, you are ready to use GP4, install mods, tracks and to edit the settings. There are also many others programs to mod your game, to edit files, settings. Here are just the basics needed.

Everything you are writing will work on OLDER computers on my experience.

I bought a new laptop in 2015(includes cd/dvd-rom) and your instructions above work, No problem.

However, I bought a new gaming laptop 2019 without any cd/dvd outlet.

Now I have to mount gp4 Iso file(or similar) everytime I want to play GP4.
How installation is done, does not matter!
Just do the installation the same way as GPcentral says but at the same time MOUNT the gp4 iso file
and leave it on.

I play all different kind if mods and tracks etc. without problem, but iso file has to mounted.

Ok... Interesting, knowing that on an old/recent laptop without CD/DVD drive or on a PC gaming tour, the installation is the same for me and work on these diferent PC config...
Just for information: Is the binkw32.dll file present into your main Grand Prix 4 installation folder? If yes, could you check if the file date is from the 30/05/2002?

The binkw32.dll file is necessary to load the bink files (videos and some background animations) of the game - like the intro of the game, for example. If it is missing / corrupted or into the wrong folder, the game will prompt you to insert the CD (or that the iso file to be mounted) to launch the game... Just a thought....

Is the binkw32.dll file present into your main Grand Prix 4 installation folder? YES!

30/05/2002? YES!!

I hope this helps :)

Yes, thank you for your feedback.
Now, I am thinking of something else.
I remember that that after each installation of GP4 (laptop without CD/DVD drive or PC tour), I have always installed RAD tools.
So, I will make a fresh install of GP4 without RAD tool on the laptop and test: I will let you know the result.
