Circuit Rousseau v1.0 Released 11-11-05

This is my First track for Gp4 which is 100 % complete ...i release it now as the final version.

fully Driveable & is fun to use...I have included a Full Read me file so please read before you install....


all the known bugs are listed...it's been heavliy tested by me over various qualify/race

conditions.. improved track graphics & objects...
The build method slightly differs from the norm so for any Budding Track editors I have included a how i built Circuit Rousseau Guide as well...

all the usual...back up your dat & wad files before installing. & anyone kind enough to post screenshots & lap times would be appreciated..

hi gildoorf thanks for the kind words..i'm glad you enjoy the track..great cc line yes...it's a good track to drive..it's tricky to learn at first..but worth the effort...i'm sure your track will be released soon....

it's loosely based on a gp3 layout of the brazilian track curitiba...i enjoyed racing that track a lot.....still do...

yep laurent...credit where it's due..no 3d editor = no track editing.....

thanks..Buenos Aires again ?? i did enjoy that track a lot on the playstation a few years ago..formula 1 I think?? the 95/96 layout..i think one of the double bends in this track reminds me of this too a little...i was going for a old european track feel..mabey i captured some south american magic as well.....

Strange that though. as i said earlier i worked with an old gp3 map of the brazilian circuit curitiba..though having my track being compared to Buenos Aires

the wad is full of tga's, and i see my pitboxes in the wad, but they're not used?

I'm having problems with the installation...

i don't understand this part of the readme: "copy the maps folder to the C:\Program Files\Infogrames\Grand Prix 4\MAPS\Hockenheim2001 folder & over write the files there...don't confuse this folder with the maps folder in your track wad they are different.."

the rest I did ok...

The track is great. That 350km/h turn is nuts !!!

I agree with brasiliero that 350 kmh turn is mega!! it is up there with eau rouge and 130r

Top job!!!

maybe next time you could do more ups and downs. that is the only thing missing. But still, great race!

b-tone iused as much as possible the original gp4 items /objects..if your pit boxes are there it's mabey when i was experimenting a little..if i used any non standard gp4 items..i would give credit...thanks for the post glad you all like the track.....jpmfw....lovely quality screen shots...

the final left hand turn is a sort of reversed Tamburello curve..

anybody got any lap times to post yet??????

ok, no worrys. you can use them if you want.
you should rerelease it without the tga's anyway as the wad now is 60+mb and would be around 20 withtout them.
i havent played it yet - it crashes on loading :|
i'll try again tho.
