1992 + 1993 TV Overlays DOWNLOAD LINK IN 1ST POST!!!!

As the simply awesome 1992 mod has arrived, here is the 1992 driver overlays to add to it, just extract into the pnl folder within the mods gpxpatch folder, select the corresponding .ini for which team 11 your using for both overlay and picture in gpxinfo and away you go!

It would be great if someone can...to find some way to install that in the CSM mod...because not all the mods have the gfx folder

i don't think it needs to be in a mod, its a gpxpatch feature, like a hud or a defpanel, as long as its in the gpxpatch/pnl directory and is enabled in the gpxinfo tab then it should work fine.

also 1992 overlays and pictures are now ready!!!!

the first year in which tv viewers got a consistent FOM graphics type i believe was 1988, where the drivers helmet was shown, before 1988 the tv graphics varied from race to race depending on the host broadcaster. in 89-90 they changed the style but also had helmets (i've done the 1990 graphics set but just need to find and add helmets), early 1991 they showed helmets before switching to driver pictures later in the year (the awesome 1991 mod available for gp4 has all the different driver graphics they used in that season).

glad you like my work! as i've mentioned before, i've done the 1992 set, the 1990 set is ready (minus helmets) and i may get round to doing the 1989 set.

Just tested the 1993 set, great work! :D

Just a few points, as listed below:

1) In the 'Pictures' part, the .ini files have the whole path, when it should only say "Path=fundo semitransparente.tga"

2) There are some specs leftover on each of the overlays, difficult to see here but I think they're quite noticeable unfortunately, especially when you use i to turn them on and off:



As you can see when the background is filled:



3) Senna and Hakkinen both have the top of "TTI" leftover from Andretti..!

Here the picture is above the driver's name and team. Can you help?
