You could use Arial - Bold. That looks quite similar to the font they use on T.V.

any chance this can be quite heavily user configurated?

like setting when things come on and off.
show race pos (race.jpg right middle) on every 2nd/3rd/4th lap, or:
shoW_on_laps: 3,7,14,55 etc.
and then have just positions (same pic but no times) shown every X minutes with Y seconds interval before next name shows.

just thinking aloud really.
for a 3 lap quick race i'd like positions shown every lap, but a 100% i might only want them every lap for the first 10, then every 5th lap or something.

Well, for first release of new style, the showing top 10 won't be available, but maybe in further releases.

About the font: I can't use Frutiger Black, because I doesn't have it and it is a commercial font, too. I'm still searching for a matching font.

when released where can everyone download it from?

when released, i'm sure you'll know where to download it from...

About using the Frutiger Black font couldn´t just each one of us who are interested get this font for personal use with GPXPatch?So it wouldn´t be necessary the font to come along with GPXPatch, and if some people like the matching font keeps using it or else download the Frutiger Black for personal use only.

I believe I have the font in question.

Hm, so there is only one problem. As far as I know Frutiger Font isn't a true type font.
Please use only True Type fonts for GPxPatch, else it could cause trouble.

Is anyone able to convert the Frutiger Font into true type font? Is there a tool?

About the flags: GPxPatch just doesn't know when a flag is shown, so I can't add this.

My copy of Frutiger is Adobe Type 1 (as opposed to True Type), but it works fine in GPxPatch with the 2003 Digital Style.
