Question about Audio Issues in Windows 7

I´m running GP4 in a bootcamp partition in my Macbook Pro.

Previously, with Windows XP, the game ran smoothly, but ever since I was forced to update do windows 7 I´ve been having issues where the game would ´stutter´(slow down, with high PO) from time to time.

I found in another thread a solution by changing the audio board. Since I can´t change it in my notebook, is there any other possible solution? Or should I install Windows 8 instead?

Windows 8 sucks, don't use that. What Windows 7 do you have? Is it Home Edition or Professional, is it 64 bit or 32 bit?
