windows 10

hi guys,just bought a new laptop with windows 10 and ive installed gp4 on it but seems to run short on the screen,ive changed the file in gp4 cfg to the correct res too but i see an inch of black boarder either side,has anyone else had this or is it a flaw that i will have to put up with,i have since checked to see if direct play is enabled and it is
