Maybe some of the game file are in read only mode then (maybe because you don't have the admin rights on your computer).

Into Regedit, go to HK_Current_User/ Softwares / Lo2k's Tools/... and delete the folder TeamEditor.
Close regedit and try to launch TeamEditor.

Ok, Did Teameditor work before on windows XP?
You said that you have got this error when you click on the Apply button, right? Otherwise, Teameditor launches normally?
Are you using the last GPxPatch version? If yes, which advanced features do you use into your gpxpatch.txt? Did you try to delete all these new features before to apply your changes into Teameditor? (just to be sure)
Are you also using GP4tweaker?

Last thing, did you try to delete teameditor and to replace it by a fresh one? (delete teameditor program and folder + regedit entries)

yes it worked before but my pc crashed last week and i had to do a reinstallation on my old pc (with xp). I indeed have this error when i click on the Apply button. Teameditor launches normally. At this moment i did not install gpxpatch, i just did a fresh gp 4 installation without using any other programm like for example gpxpatch. I.m not using gp4 tweaker either.
I deleted Teameditor and replaced it by another one...same error.

Reading at your last answer, I Wonder if you replaced your GP4.exe with a decrypted one. Every editors (but GPxpatch and maybe tweaker) need a decrypted (aka nocd) exe.
