F1 2008 CSM - onboardcamera.ini problem

Hi Guys,

I'm using the F1 2008 CSM Mod by GP4Facile (http://gp4facile.clicforum.com/t3678-Mod-2008-officiel.htm#p107907). Everything is working fine but I'd like to change my position of T-Cam.

Therefore I got to Carsets/2008 mod/Data/Tweaker/gp4tweak_data/ and opened onboardcamera.ini . In this file I got to car #2 because I'd like to just edit Massa's T-Cam.

It looked like this:

1. First of all I'd like to know which "VIEW" is for my T-Cam?

2. I changed values of each view to get to know which view is for my T-Cam. I entered high numbers like 0.0000 to 10.000 to see a big difference.
Unfortunately, there was just no difference when I got ingame. I could even delete ALL Views for Car #2 and there was no difference.
Of course, I also checked other vehicles and their camera-positions. No difference again.

I deleted the onboardcamera.ini to see if it got "read" by the mod. Suddenly there was a difference. Almost every camera-position got messed up.

So now I know that the onboardcamera.ini does effect the positions ingame. But changing values doesn't effect anything...

Any help or tip for this case?

you have to enable this line in the tweak.ini, then it should work. And i think it's tv cockpit at onboard_camera and tv cockpit at camera_view_angle in the the folder gp4tweak_merge cars folder

OnboardCamEdit = 0 ; set to 1 to enable onboard camera position edit mode

I don't have this mode installed, so i can't be sure how they handle this, but usually the values in the Tweaker/gp4tweak_data/ are just the default values.

Track-specific values are found in Data\Files\Merge\ . They are merged into the default files over Merge.ini entries of the type:
Files\Merge\%tweak%\%res%\onboardcamera.ini,gp4tweak_data\onboardcamera.ini
Files\Merge\%tweak%\%res%\viewanglecam.ini,gp4tweak_data\viewanglecam.ini

Witch track-specific values are used for which track is specified in the [tweak] section in the globalvars.ini of the mod.

Changing the default has no impact if you have track-specific tweaks, you have to change the merged values instead.
But deleting the default means there is no file where changes can be merged to, so standard GP4 comes into play!

The files you have to edit (as Gitanes said) are in the folder "Gpsaves\Carsets\2008 mod\Data\Files\Merge\Melbourne\1024 x 768\" (or the resolution you choose) and are onboardcamera.ini and viewanglecam.ini, and the T-Cam value is VIEW12= in both files (you might also edit the ones in the folders Monaco and Barcelona)

It worked, I just had to modify the onobardcamera.ini which was located in Files/Merge/Melbourne etc. .
