Track Records Question

Hi.

Just a quick question regarding Track Records:

I want to delete/replace the existing (real) track records and save the ones, I have in my races, qualifyings etc.
So I can see my improvement on every single track...

I use GPxTrack to get the tracks into the game.
Do I simply have to edit the times in the tracks .ini-file?
For example, the record is a laptime of 1:13,345 - so I Change it to 1:50,567 and of course I'll beat this time the next time I race there.

Is the new record automatically saved in the -ini-file? Or do I also have to activate "catch records" in GPxPatch?
