Is something that I think is a great addition to this game. However, it bothers me that they are waiting
to get back on track again until every car nearby has passed. Sometimes they fall from 1st to 22nd, even if
the race is 20 laps old. Is there some way to make them rejoin more quickly?

Yes, there is :)

If you use cmagic, you can change this in the magic data for each circuit. :)
It's the line in bold. Basically GP4 will check back that many sectors (1 sector is roughly 5m IIRC) to make sure it's safe to rejoin.
A value of 64 means 320m ish. If you lower the value the cars won't wait as long to rejoin. (By not checking as far back down the track to see that it is clear and no other cars are approaching)

You can change the magic data also in the newest version of GP4 Builder.

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?

Great tip :) (Y)(Y)(Y)

I tried to do it in a GP3 .MD-file and now the values are changed (as an experiment to 16 for a couple of tracks)...

Thanks a lot... :)

So, I gave this a try and did not manage do fix it.

CMagic does not work because of my GP4.exe apperantly.. Strange since I recently reinstalled the game
and patched it.

Second, how do I export or change magic data with GP4Builder? Can't find it anywere. And yes, I have the latest version

I don't know about the CMagic problem, but to find the GP4Builder magic data simply click on initial sector within track sectors. Within the track properties window that appears there should be a magic data button, bottom left. The value you want is 66 Spin Recovery Care Range. Hope that helps :)
