Trackmap/GPS Gfx question

Hi, I looked around on the forum's FAQ but couldn't find an answer to my graphics prob. I only get the problem with the F1 1988 mod and am hoping somebody here can tell me what I need to to edit to fix it.

It's the large white square around the trackmap or gps map shown in this pic;

I would think the mod does not have the trackmaps. Of course I'm only guessing and really have no idea what I'm talking about.

Go into options, then graphics and then disable arcade overlays.

It will remove the white box on the left hand side.

There is another GPS style map that you can use instead via GPXPatch.

I believe you need to press the #8 while in game, although I might be wrong as I've not used the function in a while.

Thanks for trying to help me out, I'm using GPxPatch v4.23 and CSM with GP4's mods and I tried disabling the arcade overlays in game but it didn't work unfortunately.

If I press on the the #8 key it does turn on a full curcuit gps map up above the square box gps I'm having the problem with. I like using the Tcam view and if I can't find a way to fix the white square map I'd at least like to be able to remove it all together because it's a bit distracting. I tried all the keys on my keyboard but none would turn it off.

Anything else I might be able to try to perhaps remove it from ingame all together?

I guess you have to disable tv overlays also

maybe there's a f1graphics.cfg in the folder of the mod with arcade overlays enabled and it could happen that this f1graphics overwrite your default one. So have a look in the mod folders if there's a f1graphics.cfg. Open it, then search for the line arcade overlays and change it from 1 to 0 and save it. This will disable the arcade overlays in the f1grphics.cfg of the mod and finally your problem should be fixed

Thanks, that did the trick!

It was the line "TV style overlays on track cameras" .. i set it to 0 and the gps is gone now.

ah good to know and nice that it solved now
