Track and related objects disappearing intermittently

Hi guys,

Having a problem when creating a track. Occasionally when racing, all objects (apart from trees and some bridges) disappear. Within GP4Builder, I've tried:

- 'Fix Parts to Objects' link
- 'Recover lost parts'
- Recomputed CC-cars behaviour

Neither of which do anything. Here's some screenshots to show what I mean:

Any other suggestions? Will probably redo CC-line to rule out anything there. :)
Try moving some or all parts of objects or objects with transparent textures to a new Scene. I can't really see from your shots what the problem might be exactly. I wouldn't bother adjusting the CC line to fix the clipping problems.

This should probably be in the track editing thread.

I would have posted in there, except I see that no one has posted in there in over a month!

Running more tests, the problem only occurs when you on onboard, everything appears fine from the exterior cameras.

Use the batch editing button to set camera setting to 0 for all and every objects.

It might do the job as your track goes probably quite far from the original layout.

Super stuff, did the trick! Some grandstands are disappearing ocassionally, but nothing dramatic. The main thing is that track/trackside objects etc are doing as expected :)

Hmmm, now trackside objects have disappeared from exterior cameras (trees/stands/boats etc).

you will need to deal with PVS values then... I answered this once and gave the exact values to set to zero but I can't find it anymore so far...

All fixed, was an issue with the camera settings on each object - each was set to 0 for some reason. Thanks :)

Edit - maybe not, because that's what you said I should do above. Confused

I found this in your guide: In one case, I suggested to reset all 6 first PVS values to 0 (but very last 1 in 4th row and column) and it fixed the trouble.

My Grand Prix 4 Files

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?

I've fixed this now. What I did eventually was, for the objects that were not appearing externally, change those camera values from 0 to 14 - as the track has 14 cameras. :)
