1920 x 1080 missing even after F1 graphics.config file modded?

The game only shows 1024 or 1200 vertical options in the in-game graphics menu even after the f1graphics.cfg modification to alter the vertical and horizontal settings 1920 x 1080.

My monitor default resolution is 1920 x 1080 as its 3-D monitor so I don't know why it doesn't pick setting by default anyway in Windows 8?

Any suggestions appreciated.

For me 1920x1080 settings work well as long as the first line in f1graphics.cfg is set to 1! Whatever resolution it says in-game menu doesn't matter because it will be 1920x1080 when you are driving....at least for me it's like that.

The options in the graphics options menu do not change - they always show the original choices (800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024 etc).

If you want to set a custom resolution (e.g. 1920x1080) you have to edit your f1graphics.cfg like this:

1			; f1graphics.cfg controls all settings (default 0)
1920			; [RELEASE] Game 3D Horizontal Resolution
1080			; [RELEASE] Game 3D Vertical Resolution

Note: if you use a custom resolution, the in-game menus will default to 800x600 (I think) because they cannot handle custom resolutions. But when you start a race, the game will use 1920x1080.

Thanks but I have already edited every editable instant (minus the ZaZ tools instances) of the file on my PC and still no joy, but thanks for clearing up the in game menu issue.

Mentioning zaz tools instances of this F1 graphics.cfg file revealed the search with 2 on editable dimensions of the F1 graphics.

One is a folder for the Fsone 2009 mod and the other is a application file type I cannot alter, (see screen grab).

The 1st folder for the Fsone 2009 mod does not contain a folder father resolution 1920 x 1080, I take it that is the problem with that mod at least not showing that resolution?

Correct. Any mod that has it's own f1graphics.cfg will use it over your own in the GP4 folder. You can copy your own f1graphics.cfg over that of the mod's to get round the problem.
