it would be nice to have the 2013 cars using the carshapes of for example 2009 or 2010 for those who cant use gp4 tweaker....:-O or at least the liveries. I'm still playing with cars from 2007, 2008, or 2009 or any other car using the teameditor tyre positions.....unfortunately gp4 tweaker is not working for me.

The answer is to get GP4 Tweaker working. What have you tried so far? Which version have you downloaded?

It's easy as baking a pie:

01. Download GP4 Tweaker here: [www13.zippyshare.com]
02. Unpack the package to a temporary folder.
03. Copy the file "gp4tweak.dll" to "C:\Windows\System32". For the 64 bit version of Windows: Copy the file "gp4tweak.dll" to "C:\Windows\SysWOW64".
04. Copy the "gp4_exe_patch.exe" file (this file you can find in the "extras" folder of the unpacked package) to the main folder of GP4 (C:\Program Files\Infogrames\Grand Prix 4).
05. Copy the "gp4tweak.ini" file (this file you can find in the "config_template" folder, it's a subfolder of the "extras" folder) to the main folder of GP4 (C:\Program Files\Infogrames\Grand Prix 4).
06. Copy the whole "gp4tweak_data" folder (this folder you can find in the "config_template" folder, it's a subfolder of the "extras" folder) to the main folder of GP4 (C:\Program Files\Infogrames\Grand Prix 4).
07. If you like to use also visors in cockpit view, copy the whole "sprite" folder (this folder you can find under "extras\custom_visor\gp4tweak_data" of the unpacked package) and copy it into the "gp4tweak_data" folder which is in the main folder of GP4 (C:\Program Files\Infogrames\Grand Prix 4\gp4tweak_data).
08. Enable and disable specific tweaks in the "gp4tweak" file which is in the main folder of GP4 and save the changes.
09. Run the "gp4_exe_patch.exe" file in the main folder of GP4. If you get this message "GP4.EXE will be patched. Continue and proceed this operation?", confirm with YES, otherwise choose NO.
10. You're done!

You may need to set your virus scanner to disregard programmes like gp4tweaker and gpxpatch - it may see them as a virus as they change .exe files

Best would be to make fictional shape mixing best things from butt-ugly modern cars (oh god I hate those wings and noses) and some older cars.. ;)

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

yes that would be nice and much easier. Any suggestions which nice cars should be in using the original tyre positions from gp4.

You have to use GPxPatch for that; go to the GPxSet tab > tick the box of "Performance file" and select the performance file.

Ok noted.
I think teameditor is very useful to make a performance file. You can easily set team and player values. I will save it and load it via gpx patch.
I also can change the colour of the rims via teameditor and the arms. I will first do that before i change the tyre positions via gp4 tweaker.

In my experience gp4 tweaker and teameditor tend not to work well with each other. :/

Thanks a lot for your help, finally got tweaker pretty much working! My only question is, why do we need gp4_exe_patch.exe? It's never been in previous versions, and my computer wouldn't let me run it, so I tried it without and it worked fine..! What's the point of it?!

Yep, my computer also doesn't want to execute the gp4_exe_patch.exe, but everythings works fine nevertheless ;-).
I think gp4_exe_patch.exe is quite useless.

Tweaker is included as part of CSM, you don't need to install it separately.

Open the mod's files (double-click on the mod name in the main menu) and go to the folder Data \ Tweaker. Everything you need is in there.

Thank you, it works now! what I just don't like with the slipstream is that it's totally unbalanced. It just has no effect at all in the slower or medium speed corners, and way too much in the high speed corners! Is there a way to get it better?

Thanks, but overtaking is just not as hard as descripted there! For example, if I go directly behind another car through bridge corner in silverstone, I lose some grip and fall behind. Fine until here. But I'm always able to close in the next slow corner, stay directly behind the other guy and overtake him easily on acceleration through woodcote. I don't really think that its realistic if i can follow people that close in the (rather fast) last corner in silverstone
