I'm about to post here to see if i can lure some F1 friendly programmers into the field. I cannot burden lo2k with the responsibility, nor can I wait any longer for new features/tools etc.

What do i need to ask for ? I mean programming-skills-wise :-)

I would like to see Pitcrew Shape Editor brought into the real world for a start.

New pitcrew / pitprop, shapes and textures are sorely needed.

Who's up for it ? does anyone know anyone with the skills required ?

That's never going to happen

Realistically what could happen, is someone could take the code for the Pitcrew Shape Editor from lo2k (I think he still has it) and DEVELOP it, from what I've been told, if your a coder it isn't very difficult.

Pitcrew shape editor was not developped by me but by Peter de Ridder...
By the way pitcrew files are very simple 3D Files... I thought to add support for them in GP4B but there's so many feature to add and I can't do everything, particulary actualy.

I know that's why i suggested this to take some of the burden off you, somebody out there must be interested in F1 and coding.

What language would it need to be written in ? i think i remember you saying HEX editing was also required.

The more info i get the better then i can push the 3d development side and try to get someone from the Max scene to write an importer exporter, maybe for the animations too.

But like i said i have ideas but i don't/can't code, i just need to see some development.

I have it too, but other than a texture on model previewer, it's useless, have you ever tried to modify a file with it ?

Any language would fit and any coder might know how to use an hex editor (I hope) or at least extract data from a file.
