Another idiotic (?) question

Apologies in advance if I seem like an idiot for not noticing any similar questions being asked before!

Anyway, I've successfully made a skin/livery/whatever-you-call-it for GP4 (for the first time :)) and managed to successfully put it into the game in a mod.

Successful, that is, except for one small thing. In-game it is ridiculously shiny. Anyone know how to fix this problem? (I)

Maybe it is a problem with the advanced lighting option. Try to disable it in GP4-options --> graphics.
That's my only idea ;-).

And don't hesitate to ask a question here ;-). It's no problem.
This isn't one of these stupid forums where users get hanged just because of asking a question ;-).

klausfeldmann's solution isn't working. :(
Alpha layers?? What are you going on about? :-o

On another note...

The creator of this video (TrueCrysis) claims he knows how to fix this very problem. (B)
He hasn't explained the solution to anyone in public yet, as far as I'm aware!
WHERE ARE YOU??

Oh, sad to hear my idea doesn't work here :-(.

Alpha layer means the transparency level of a texture ;-).

Changing the topic, has anyone got tyre, steering wheel, arms, rear light, etc. positions for the Super Aguri SA08 by Fongu(the one on GP4DB)?

But the fact that for cars, alpha layer isn't used for transparency but for reflectivity...
