Does anyone know to extend the time from 30 seconds to say 2 minutes?

Go to options and to race settings or something like that and at the bottom should be something called replay length and extend that

I did try that but it made no difference! Any ideas where else?

the replay will always start at the -30s mark, use F5 to rewind and see the full replay

Set gpx_patch, gp4.exe and when you use csm to win xp mode.

That could be the solution for your problem
