Editing Csmperf in 2005-2007 mods not working [fixed]

After editing Csmperf in 2003-2004 mods (Which was possible), I tried to do same in 2005-2007 mods. However, after changing names, perfs etc. when I go to the race, default csmperf comes up. Any way to change it?

csmperf gets overwritten by the performance file in the patch folder of the mod

So it means it is not even possible to edit csmperf as it will always get overwritten?

Yes it should be possible, by editing the performance file in the performance folder of the mod.
