Looks like it is causing a loop, and for some reason, it is trying to run in DOS mode.

OK I try that mortal, thanks. Robert for the most part yes it does at all tracks I got to do a few 8 lap races but most crash after a few. Just did a 3 lap one yesterday and it crashed on the last lap. Don't know if it has to do with anything but I also rebooted the computer not to long ago too.

THis font is not an original GPxPatch font so you might have better to uninstall Gpxpatch, delete the gpxpatch folder from GP4 root folder and reinstall GPxpatch.
Play without any additional GPxpatch panel and see if game runs fine. If so, problem comes from one of the custom gpxaptch panel you were using.
