I'm unhappy guy, 'cos I've got new pretty "modern" computer... And with it i've got some real serious problems, main of them is next thing:
When I'm playin' my favourite gp4(i've tried codemasters shameful F2010 and it is real @#$%& anyway, especially their "flying superman style" replays (damn, why just not to do that same as in gp4?;-()) and go to replay, and then pushing F8 or F2 buttons or even F1 (quick forward and quick back, and beginning of replay) my screen/cpu just freezes permanently:-(. And no answers to keybord commands as alt+F4 or ctrl+alt+dlt. Only way from that situation is reboot button, but I'm very afraid what my new cpu just blown in one time, or happens any other system crashes.
So this is it, guys, I very much need replays on my gp4 game, and I need to find solution to solve mine unhappiness.:(
OH, ALMOST FORGOT: HERE MY SYSTEM CONFIGURATION:
OC - Windows XP Professional(5.1)
Processor - AMD athlon (tm) II X4 640 Processor, MMX, 3DNow (4CPUs), ^3.0 GHz
Memory - 3584 RAM
Display - ATI Radeon HD 5570 Memory - 2048.0 Mb
game resolution - 1920 X 10080 (32 bit) 60HZ (Setted from tweaker, i guess)

Ummmm.. Weird....

Never head that before...

How long have you set the replay to last?

Do you pause the game before viewing the replay?

You can see my PC specs.. below..

I set replay for 2.30 minutes and even record my flying onboard laps easy...
in case you havn't already done that: install gpx patch and start gp4 in debug mode + set "cpu" to 0 on the first gpx patch tab.

i'm glad it worked. gp4 has problems with multicore cpus. by setting cpu to 0 gp4 is forced to use only one core. if your previous cpu was a single core the cpu setting didn't matter.
