No ingame sound

I did a fresh installation of gp4 (including patch, no cd rom patch, gpx patch etc) but i don't have any in game sounds at all??? In main menu i hear the music but when i play gp4 no sounds at all?

I'm playing with windows 7.

Any help woud be grateful.

Strange... can you see in control panel/sounds the sound device and is it set to default player? Before you reinstalled the game did you delete anything gp4 related from Start menu/regedit?

I don not understand you, where can i found these control panel and where can i find these sound device? I reinstalled the game deleting all old items first.

i 'm using ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series, is there anyone else using this graphic card and experience the same problems?
