ZAZ tools problem

Hello everyone,

I've been having problems with getting ZAZ tools to run and im stumped...i've had no problems for years until recently.

The version i was using is now out of date, i've downloaded the latest version and get a message:

'C:\Program Files\ZaZ Gp4 tools\CSM.exe

This application has failed to start becasue the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.'

Re-installed a few times and get the same message.

I've tried using an older version but it keeps crashing.

Any ideas what im doing wrong?

Uninstall CSM. Run CCCleaner and it will remove the redundant registry entries if any. Then re-install CSM. Right click the exe and set to run as administrator, although you shouldn't have to do that as it runs well in Vista and W7.

Nope, it's not a part of ZaZ Tools, sadly. Would be helpful though!

Even if it was part of ZaZ Tools, which it isn't....how would you run it, after uninstalling it? LOL

run the cleaner and still getting the same error message...

any other ideas?

when i've used the older version, it appears to load then goes to a blank screen then goes straight back to CSM...

I suggest to uninstall ALL versions of zaz tools you have installed on your pc. When that is done i suggest to cleanup the registery settings of zaz tools with regedit. To get there you go to start search for RUN or give it in to search programs or files !

The registery goes open and you go to the following thing:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > scroll down and stand on the zaz tools registery and press delete !!!

When that is done close the registery and install zaz tools again. This is the latest version i have: [rapidshare.com]

BEWARE: BEFORE YOU install ZAZ TOOLS or UPDATE zaz tools after installing it you must have run GP4 already and calibrate the graphic settings or you will get an ERROR about administration rights !

Uninstall GP4. Using CCCleaner, remove all Infogrames entries in the registry. Reinstall GP4. Also it might be worth doing the same <- to ZaZ Tools too.

Order to install GP4:

GP4 (from disk etc)
9.6 Patch
Decrypted no cd exe
GPxPatch 3.93
ZaZ Tools

If anyone cares to correct me, you're welcome I don't play GP4 anymore, so meh

PS. When you uninstall GP4 remember to backup your mods and other stuff you want
