New ATI Catalyst Drivers released

The Cat 3.7's are now aviliable at [www.ati.com] . I wonder if I will see any performance increase in GP4?

Has anyone tried the 3.7's.I get a a slight pause now and then since installing these.Never had it with any of the older drivers.

had that 3.6 drivers too....went over to the Omega drivers and that sorted the prob out.

think certain file sharing software may cause this prob too

I use enditall to shut all the background programs off,so that isn't the problem.Maybe I'll get Omega's new set and see if it fixes it.

Hello all!

ive got the new ati catalyst,and now i can apply anti alias 4x and anisotropic filtering 8x!in my opinion,its the best catalyst ever!

For me it is the worst catalyst driver ever. I never had gp4 to run so slowly . back to 2.5 catalyst ....

Where can you download ver 2.5. I havn't tried it so I would like to compare them to see what one is the best!

Whats the general feeling on this? Is the new version better then the old one???

with 3.7 I had to set my gp4 graphics setting to a low level with 18 fps
with 2.5 I can set my gp4 graphics settings to high level with 22 fps
but one thing to watch for is the graphic card you got .... I have Gigabyte Radeon 9000 Pro 64 mb and do not fully support 9.0 ,only 8.1 , and this driver is the last one optimized for 8.1 , meaning that catalyst 2.5 is the "perfect" one for my graphic card. And gp4 is optimized for directx 8.1 .... etc.
So if you have a 9500 or 9600 or 9700 or 9800 I can´t say which driver is the best one ....
just give it a try , you can uninstall the drivers at any time
