GPxPatch doesn't work

When I start GP4 with the normal exe, it works. When I start it with GPxPatch, it doens'rt work!!! What do i have to do??

I use the decrypted exe with the 9.6 patch, i also tried the n,o cd but it doesn't work

after installing and deleting again the no cd pathc, the exe without gpxpatch won't work too!!! :(

Did you try to run GPXpatch.exe in compatibility mode with Windows XP (SP2)?

This could be an installation problem. I'd strip the registry of Infogrames entries and start over. Install GP4, set compatibility to XP SP2 or 3 and run once, save on exit. Then install the official 9.6 patch....OR......download Zaz Tools from gp4db.com and use the CSM update down-loader to update GP4. If not installing CSM, which imho you should, after installing the 9.6 patch, install the v1.02 no_cd. Run once and exit. Then install gpx_patch. PLAY!

As Mortal said, certainly a problem with order to install patch etc..
1- install game
2- install official patch 9.6
3- install GP4Nocd.exe
4- Run the game once and save.
5- install GPXPatch
6- Install ZazTools.

Play by launching GPXpatch (verbosity on medium and CPU on 0)

I deleted the infogrames entries, installed gp4, i ran it one on win xp compatiblity mode, then installed patch 9.6 and no cd patch 1.02. It ran very good, my GP4, but it still isn't running with GPxPatch!! :(

Here 's the installation order I use and has always worked fine:

- Grand Prix 4 (original 2002 game)
- Grand Prix 4 Official Patch 9.6
- GPxPatch 3.9.3.1
- Decrypted GP4.exe (version 1.02)

Some months ago I packed in a rar file, a STAND-ALONE GP4 INSTALLATION ready to use as is.
It contains all the above and has some configuration files removed.
Once extracted I run once to calibrate graphics and have the config-associated files created, in accordance with the specific computer hardware configuration.
Then it's ready for applying non-CSM mods or for using with CSM.
Has worked without any problem in computers running WindowsXP.

Since I make no installation I don't get any GP4 related registry entries!!!
So I have simultaneously, as many GP4 copies as I want, in any hard disk drive (each copy in a different folder).
And I can install a different mod over each copy, without messing up with any registry entries.

If anyone interested, for using or testing under Vista/Seven, just tell me to upload it.
