GP4 WINTER SERIES COMP.

I was thinking, what about if we don´t have just another hotlap comp., but a now-championship race competition.... like 10% of race distance, with one pit-stop, only player cars on track (to prevent people from using drag from another car), who gets the fastest race time wins!!!!

How about that ah???? Come on guys, it would be fun.... we would have to find a real F1 setup, not like these crappy hotlap ones.... we would have to think about the pit-stop strategy.... we should not allow people to save the game in the middle of the race, only by the end of it.... then we would have to carry on thje speed for a few laps long.... that would be really nice..... come on, think about that!!!! :)

nice idea fabio.

you mean like a mini race, for a set amount of laps, as fast as possible??

like who can do qualifyign laps one after the other??

problem with pitstops, they are not all the same time and things can delay the pitstop

ummm for me is ok!!! now that mean new rules and all that things.. if we have 12 drivers in our competition right now we are gonna have 5 or less in that one.. that´s what i think.. but sound fun !!

yeah, smthink like that, 10% or 15% of race distance....

but what you mean pit-stops don´t have the same time???? I thought the mechanics do their work, and as long as you push the gear pad, they will let you out.... don´t know, I always get around 9 to 10 secs on the pits.... anyway, the pit-stop delay would be part of the game ah????

the only crappy thing is that we couldn´t wach the laps, or could we???? is there any program that allow us to do that sort of thing????

you can increase the replay time in the options but i think it would slow peoples computers down

the best feeling, is when u r doing a championship season, and lap after lap you keep braking the lap record!

thats what i did in spain, when i won by 58 seconds on ace mode, ijust did every lap perfect 100% race distance, not 1 mistake.

oh greate, then we can see people´s race.... at least a few laps....

hey, that´s the sort of feeling we would get on that comp., hope everyone agrees with my idea!!!! :)

i think we should keep it too 10 laps at a selection of circuits,

and i think it should be the 'SPRING CHAMP. because this one finishes in January 2004!!!!!

then we will have a few months until the start of the new 2004 F1 season AND the start of the GP4 2004 Hotlap Comp again

I agree too, sounds great!!!!

I think it's possible to choose only players car in race options menu.

yeah but thats only if u have more than 1 player

only thing i can think of is have the AI slower in a perf file say reduce there peformace so there about 2 seconds a lap slower, so then if we do a 10 lap race THEORETICLY we shouldnt catch them

should also have qualafying

That sounds cool! I'm up for that! I'm only using un edited GP4 atm tho, does that matter?

-qwerty- everything will have to be original so it shouldnt matter at all!! :D

have to set the replay length to something like 20 mins though.

yeah, Korn is right, we can´t set "player cars only" for just one player!!!! so what should we do, a perf. file that every other car retires on the start of the race????

Just race normally, if you're quick you can overtake pretty quickly, and if you're on pole or there abouts, you can make up huge amounts of places by just speeding down the inside while they all queue up :)
