How to change car shape for entire season?

Hi, I hope someone can help me.

I'm sure this is easy to do & I'm missing something. I love Pedro's car models for the '82 mod. Some of the cars have different shapes for specific tracks from the actual season. How is it possible to have one particular shape to be used throughout an entire season, ie to use the Ferrari shape from Long Beach (love the rear wings) at every race?
I've tried editing the configuration files within the 'cars' folder but nothing seems to change. Is there something else I need to edit?

Just delete all the others in the folder of ferrari and keep long beach in Car & Hi folder only.

Then you adjust the ini and say default = long beach
