the best toyota

hey... can anyone tell me about the best toyota(2003) available for the game.

It`s Viper`s car, but it`s not in final release, because he will repair carshape at nose a bit. I don`t know for any other good Toyota.

since you can't get vipers i sugest this one..

i suppose this is the toyota which has so many textures assigned to it insteadof three or maybe 4 tex files. it makes the wad so confusing. right now my cars.wad size is around 39mb with most of the cars by RH

who is RH? there is nothing confusing about he car it looks great..it just that you have to rename the files before installing if you wan't the toyota insted of prost

With all the best 2003 cars and 3d rims your cars.wad should be arround 70 MB

no kjdesign 2000 you are talking of another toyota , wwith better carshape but less valid textures , there are 2 toyota 2003 around , and even this last from viper is not good as carshape , as a result for now you must use the Waltmans one

what's wrong with waltmars one.....it's great so far it's the best one..

infact it is the best so far, great textures , but the carshape is not so real ,

i have all the latest carshapes by viper and bojan and RH and all 2003 shapes. even the 3d rims and updated cockpit shapes... everything thats changeable in cars.wad. i deleted all the lower res tex files as i use hi_xxx.tex files in game. thats y my wad size is small. RH cars are the best. these are the cars from f1c rh2003 mod.

....................I quite like this now.

The size of the cars.wad doesn't take effects to the game , the thing that takes effects is the size of single of textures file , my toyota will be only 2 1024x1024 textures , and if you like , you can use 512x512 one in the release version.

but the lower lods do matter a lot when playing game. the toyota from Viper pack is very nice but there are no lower res. lods in it so all the lods are to be renamed and used. this gives a performance hit.

the picture you see here is my toyota using Guyon's textures. It only uses 3 texture files. There are no lower lods, but if you really want them you can use the original BAR lower lods. Because i used the BAR as a base for this shape, so the textures should fit very well.

I already updated this shape (normals were pretty bad on this one), but not yet releasing. Only time will tell when i will release this update, including a Monaco, UK and German version.

@ viper... in your carpack the toyota files have the name of car20 and car21.gp4... can you tell me after renaming what the name should be and also tell me about the name of the tex files it needs. i renamed the car20.gp4 to car_prost_car1_lod_0.gp4 and also ..._car1_lod_1, _2,_3 and _4 but the game crashed to desktop.

@shatonska, i already released v1.0 ages ago, so get to your local dealer and start downloading!
