I downloaded the Trackpack 2008. The Istanbul dat file file came with a "hockenheim2001.wad" file. Since I am still using the "Hockenheim Ring" in my personal season (cause I like it), I tried to rename the "hockenheim2001.wad" file from the track pack to "istanbul2001.wad". I renamed all the files (except tex and tga) inside the wad from hockenheim2001 to istanbul2001. Then build a new wad called "istanbul2001.wad", changed the prefix inside the dat file (edit GPInfo) with cmagic. Tried to load it and always have a cdtd before it is completely loaded into the game.

Weird: If I use the "hockenheim.wad file which comes with the trackpack, everything works fine. Any idea what I have done wrong? Below my gpxpatch log file.

You can not rename to istanbul2001 because istanbul not in the game original. Rename only the names of tracks that are in the game original. Ah, and do the magicdata.

Tip: Never rename wad files or .tex files. Renaming gp4 files, AFAIK, is fine.
