Some questions [Italian translation help/assistance req please]

Posted by fabioss
As you will understand from the title I would have some questions to do you and I have preferred to open a new thread not to have answered time-wasting.

I immediately premise that I have installed around 2/3 weeks ago, on a default version of GP4, the present updatings here [tmp.grandprixgames.org]
Well, I divide you the questions in such way that can answer me in clearer way.

1) I play with a steering wheel and the force feedback it is active but for instance the steering wheel doesn't tremble if I pass on the curbs. Is it normal? If it is not him, is there a way to also activate it on the curbs?

2) Playing with this version adjourned to 2009 I have noticed that the car has the more reactive back part in comparison to the 2008. That is if for instance goes too much on the curb the car becomes uncontrollable, or if in the full one of a fast curve gets up the foot from the accelerator the same effect is had. If I don't mistake these so abrupt reactions the 2008 cars they didn't have her. Is it normal however, that the car involves this way?

3) I have gotten used to make some rather short (maximum 11/12 turns) competitions but I would want to know if it were possible to plan for ALL the cars a level of such fuel from a standstill to make necessary to half competition. In this way the competition would be more amusing because all the cars should stay to make restocking. Is it possible to make a thing of the kind?

I hope can answer me to everybody and 3 the questions. Thanks.

1- I also have a Force Feedback wheel, and there is no vibration on kerbs either :/

2- I don't play GP4 with 2009 physics, but I'd guess that it's meant to be like that

3- I only play in free practice mode, so I can't help you about this one

I hope my answers are somehow useful ;)

1) Ah ok, therefore it is normal.

2) Then this great reactivity of the cars can be due to the physics of the 2009.
Where I can find the 2008 physics? however I am undecided whether to leave this or that of 2008 considering that putting this last I would lose some realism.

3) Ok, I aspect someone who answers me.

Is there someone that answers me to these questions?

you can set the distance of the tracks to for example 30 laps. With pit&lapeditor you can adjust the pitstop strategy for the AI cars. You can find the tool here: [www.alexcar.altervista.org]

But is it possible to for instance plan the number of turns to 10 and subsequently to plan the quantity of gasoline of all the cars to make 5 turns?

What are you talking about, Kerbs rumble fine - just use tweaker.

There is your response. Search through the tweaker application for how to do it.
I use a different method for rumble. I have a bass shaker on my simulator, it works from the sound of the car hitting the rumble strips.

Turns = laps?
You can use Pit&Lap editor or TSM to set the number of laps and pit strategy for cc cars

I have not understood. But therefore is it possible to also train the force feedback on the curbs?

yes, turns = laps.

I have not understood two things.

1) In pit&lap the number of real laps is written for every tracks there. Must I put the number of laps for every layout corresponding to 30% that I have planned in the options?

2) What mean 1%, 2% and 3% in pit%lap?

I am trying to understand whether to use pit&lap. However, does nobody know how to tell me if it is possible to also activate the force feedback on the curbs?

As we have said a few times

Look in the gp4tweaker ini file "gp4tweak.ini" you will find:

FFEffect = 1 ; set to 1 to enable force feedback custom effects (GP4 v1.02 only)
FFEffectGP4v100 = 0 ; set to 1 to enable force feedback custom effects (GP4 v1.00 only, may not working properly!)

Set the top one 1 1 if you have the 9.6 patch (which you should), and you will have rumble over kerbs.

I have started GP4 Tweaker and I have read in correspondence of "current gp4 version" that is written there "1.02 patch 9.6 [detected]". Then in which lace I must put 1 to the place of 0? in FFEffect? in FFEffectGP4v100? or in both?

I know it but the question I have done her because I have not understood the last part of the post of before. Must I plan them to 1 both?

Just try changing:

FFEffectGP4v100 = 0 ; set to 1 to enable force feedback custom effects (GP4 v1.00 only, may not working properly!)

To:

FFEffectGP4v100 = 1 ; set to 1 to enable force feedback custom effects (GP4 v1.00 only, may not working properly!)
