ZaZ Tools - CSM Problem

I did re-install Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit Version last weekend. Now, I've got a strange problem after I had installed ZaZ Tools. After the setup, I did say yes to a update CSM with the latest version which is avialable in the net. Now the program says to me following thing and after clicking ok, nothing happened.



I found that administrator thing, but I can't click on it to enable it. And with running as admin function, it didn't also not worked =(

i think you need to run the game once before opening CSM. Run the game with the exe or with gpxpatch if you have already installed it, let it calibrate the settings sound and graphic, load a track and return to desktop and then try to open CSM.

They is a good way around this. I posted in a thread about this...just a second...

Download this file: [files.vadertrophy.com]

Then, in your ZaZ Gp4 Tools directory, delete everything, BUT DON'T DELETE THE AUCTUAL 'ZaZ Gp4 Tools' folder. Then, put everything from the file you just downloaded in the ZaZ Gp4 Tools folder. Then, run the updater.exe. Let the Updater download everything it needs to, then open CSM. Install a mod and you're off!

Hello guys !

I have the same problem but with windows, and your file, msater, don't correct it. Impossible to update and work the zaz tool. Do you have a solution, please, you or someone else ? Thx a lot !

already told you the solution guys if you read above. If you have gp4 fresh installed you need to run the game first and calibrate the graphic and sound settings first. When you have done that you just load any track to test if the game loads fine. If that is done, return to desktop and try CSM it will work now without any problem.

@Jax What operating system are you on? This is official support and files from ZaZ, it should work on all operating systems, as far as I know.

problem solved - like BayW did say. I hadn't started the game first before CSM. Now it works perfect.

Glad your problem is solved. You don't need to do anything more then to run the game first to get csm working without a problem

What is the actual CSM version, I had troubles with updating using
Updatepath=HTTP://files.vadertrophy.com/zaz/csm/1.26-2/Daily/
always had the message "Unable to retrieve the list" or so,
changing the updatepath to ...1.26...brought me back from updater
150 to version 129, also set the CSM version from 1163 to 1140,
I tried clean gp4.exe and cars.wad without success, can´t go back
to the higher version. What did I wrong ? Thanks for an answer.

try stable instead of daily at the moment they should be the same version

When its unable to retieve list, it's probably unable to connect to the server

Well i think zaz has some issues with his update server cause i am getting the same message that its unable to retrieve the list blablabla
