One of the most fun things about GP4 are the hotlapcompetitions there used to be. I feel its time to start another one. Too reach as much people as possible I will make this topic at 3 different communities (RacingGeneration, GP4world and grandprixgames)

Rules and guidelines

GP4 Instalation
You need to have a GP4 instalation with folowing tools and add-ons:
Official GP4 Patch v9.6
Decrypted GP4.exe v1.02
GPxPatch 3.93

CSM Mod
we will try and get a CSM-mod ready, using this carset will not be mandatory, as long as you use the correct track, physicset, and performancefile you can drive any car you want

Helmets
Having a personal helmet is not mandatory, if you don't have one, you will get a blanc one

Cars
Also a personaly livery for your team is not mandatory, if you don't have one you can get a standard one, but please try to get one, there are enough 2009 cars available by now.

Carshape must be in 2009 F1 regulations, that means no winglets, large frontwing and a small rearwing

The template of YohanFGP his car is perfect for this!

Wildcards
If you are not in a team and don't want to take part in the whole season, but still want to do a hotlap on a track you can request a wildcard, this means you are allowed to take part in the battle for a hotlap on that specific track

wildcards must be requested at least 24 hours before the deadline

Driving a hotlap
Hotlaps have to be driven in the free practice mode (that is NOT the same as the free practice during the weekend.)

Saving a hotlap
To save a hotlap, press "escape" go to: options - save - hotlap
there you can select the lap you wanna save and save it

Submitting your hotlap
You can submit your hotlap maximum 2 times per event.
Standings of hotlaps will be kept as up to date as possible
You have to send your hotlap to the following mailadres: hotlap@racinggeneration.be

Rules of a hotlap
- There must be at least 2 wheels of the car between te white lines at all time
- That means no corner cuttings or going wide
- Touching walls is concidered illegal
- Physics, performance and track have to be correct
- Dificulty has to be set to ace
=> if not your lap will not count!
