I would more like 1991 than 1988, but 1988 is good too.

why do i ask?

well i was given this shape by ellis, and have been learning to map with it. (i'm guessing its from a Senna tribute mod for f1-2002)

it will be done soon.
but one car isnt much use, so i'm going to make a full season set.
aimed at people who want to race in 1988, rather than perfectionists.
i haven't tried modelling, and i'm not about to start, so for now all 22 cars will use the same shape.
if anyone wants to provide some 1988 shapes, i'd be happy to texture them and include them. you may even be able to use this as a base, so
email me if you want.

the other components (physics, performance, teamart, gpaedia, etc) will be done also, and it will hopefully feel like the 1988 season in most
aspects.
(i have nearly completed a 1996 ITC mod all based on one carshape, and it looks fine. There were only 3 cars in that series tho)

I may try remodelling this shape, but I would like to finish quite quickly. I have a feeling Zmodeler isn't as hard as it looks, so maybe I'll try giving each car different wings or something. :)

so once this is finished there will be 2 major quirks
1. every car is an mp4-4.
2. the tracks are all from 2001.
i'm sure some people will overcome these problems, and use it anyway. ;)

these teams and drivers will be included:

lotus
1 - nelson piquet
2 - satoru nakajima

tyrrell
3 - jonathan palmer
4 - julian bailey

williams
5 - nigel mansell
6 - riccardo patrese

zakspeed
9 - piercarlo ghinzani
10 - bernd schneider
'87

mclaren
11 - alain prost
12 - ayrton senna

march / leyton house
15 - mauricio gugelmin
16 - ivan capelli

arrows
17 - derek warwick
18 - eddie cheever

benetton
19 - alessandro nannini
20 - thierry boutsen

minardi
23 - pierluigi martini
24 - luis perez-sala

ligier
25 - rené arnoux
26 - stefan johansson

ferrari
27 - michele alboreto
28 - gerhard berger
'87

These teams won't be included:

Automobiles Gonfaronaise Sportive
Coloni SpA
Euro Brun
Larrousse
Osella
Rial Racing
Scuderia Italia

And these drivers won't be included (with number of starts):

Martin Brundle - 1
Jean Louis Schlesser - 1
Philippe Streiff - 16
Nicola Larini - 16
Andrea de Cesaris - 16
adrian campos - 5
Philippe Alliot - 16
Yannick Dalmas - 14
Aguri Suzuki - 1
Pierre Henri Raphanel - 1
Gabriele Tarquini - 16
Oscar Larrauri - 16
Stefano Modena - 16
Alex Caffi - 16

So if you think any of those should be in or out tell me now.

that car looks a bit too long...

Why are you converting this set? Why don't you just play f1-2002 it saves you a lot of time!

now you're importing cars that "suck" (as you called it) in a game superior game...do you want to make gp4 worse?
