White cars drive me crazy!!!

Hi i know there has been several messages already about white cars, missing textures etc etc...but i really do not know why all my cars are white......the shape has changed but no textures at all. I already set graphics on high in gp4 but no changes. Pls help me. What am i doing wrong? for example i downloaded Ferrari F-310 by Ebi & Nick & Oggo & Fongu. Shape is ok but nu textures....help!

It depends, are the textures for example called Hi_Ferrari or somthing like that, that means you need to run the textures in High quality, Try it

both ...i have following textures included in this file
f310_1.tex
f310_2.tex
hi_f310_1.tex
hi_f310_2.tex
carbfbd.tex
cockpit.tex
hi_carbfbd.tex
hi_cockpit.tex

gp4 setting are in high quality but when i calibrate gp4 textures are not there.

I once had a problem with white cars in a preveous gp4 instalation

first thought was putting textures to high in the optionsmenu, but when I went looking, they where allready on high

now for somehow, if I selected them, and switching them back to medium, then back to high, without restarting gp4, it worked again

ok what programm do you use for updating cars.wad? and do i have to remove hi_tex or not?

just keep it in your wad to be save

I use easywad (it's included in the zaztools package), it's realy good program cause it makes you able to explore the wad like it would be a folder on your harddrive

i downloaded this programm but i do not know how to use it, therefore i tried wadupdater 3.4 ....shape is there but as already explained no textures.

run the program, it will ask you if you want to assosiate wads with easywad, select that you want it to

then you can just dubbel click on any wad an it will open
