madotter update! [STOP THE PRESS]

Hello all!

I have decieded that I am done with GP4. I know this is not down to my pc as I (and most) have always had the usually errors. It's now got to the stage where I can't play the game (that's even if it does load). I am forever getting GPxPatch locking up when I click start and have had error after error with new and modded .wad and .exe files.

This said, I will still keep my 2009 thread up to date as you guys shouldn't suffer because I have lost patience with the game so all the new WIP and released will be added and maintained as normal. Just bare in mind, don't ask me any questions with releases as I won't be using the game from now on.

I have had fun with GP4 since 2002 when it was released but I think I will wait for the new F1 2009 from codies (and pray it is a good sim, not a crappy arcade game).

Similar reason to why I gave up on GP4 3 1/2 years ago, too frustrating :p.

I had problems too but i always managed to fix them either
for Csm or non Csm mods and TSM track packs and non tsm track packs.
I also maid sure the hardware i bought was Gp4 compatible, etc...

Ok guys, I installed GTA:VC and had LOADS of problems. So I had a theory that maybe Windows 7 isn't good for games? Don't know how but after doing a clean install of Vista, GP4 works perfect!

So, I am back with GP4, got all the released 2009 cars + all other bits and it's running better than before. I had a PO of 80-100 on grid (at the back) and now it sits at 30 tops

Iain, as far as I know a ton of people have issues with GTA on the PC, don't take your working GP4 for granted yet! I just installed it on my machine, however there is no f1config or whatever it's called for the graphical settings (so I can make it 1440x900).

Iain, that's great news! GTR Evo works fine under Windows 7. So do all my other games (Only thing that doesn't work is Blender.
