thanks but i've tried deelting reg stuff.
i get a 'Grand Prix 4 Patch' entry after running the patch setup and '1.00' under that.
it seems to patch correctly, but always says 1.00 in the credits.
does it need to be run from the cd once before patching?

i done it.
it now says 1.02.
at the risk of sounding silly i'll even tell how.
i copied a 6128kb GP4.exe into my gp4 folder.
