ok i have yet another problem...i got everything working with custom performance, slipstream etc and i started a season...i was going sixth somewhere near laps 15-20 and then suddenly BOOM! GPx tells me this...why?

I have noticed a few crashes when driving, doesn't matter what track, or camera-t/cam-cockpit, etc. And its to do with me anyway, pressing M for the microtime to pop up. If I've restarted my PC, and play straight away, I can do a whole GP with mircotime going on and off etc. If my PC has been running and I've been doing stuff, then gone and done a GP, when I press for the Microtime, it sometimes crashes. I say sometimes, cause I usually forget about it, and then when I press it, BOOM!, Desktop! Done 2 GP's now without microtime showing and its been fine. Did a practise and it dumps to desktop.

Thats my problem anyway. Might be something different.

Also, if you have an Nvidia G/Card, make sure that NView is switched off! That can effect the gaming aswell. That was a trial and error thing for me too, but with NView off, GP4 rarely crashed. With it on, it crashed as soon as the car left pit lane, regardless of track, and regardless of what time the car left the track, and regardless of how many cars on track, either practise, race, quali etc.

Thats my two cents.

that doesn't matter at all if you put it on zero, 1 or all. If you have dual core or quadcore processor its better to put it on all so all processor gets used during the game which make the game stable and not so much pressure on one core but the usage is spread on all.

You must try a track and go for watching, don't select a driver and switch camera's a few times and real fast, sometimes it gives a crash to desktop without given a reason. I think its due the changing of images the graphic card can't handle it so fast and the game crsahes.

Yeah, I have to agree with Robert on that one. Remember that GP4 is an old game, so it's gaming structre isn't quite the same quality as some newer games. I have to have mine set at 0 or 1 for it to run at all. If its on All, track loads then dumps straight to desktop.
