Black Screen

OK I reinstalled GP4 for some old school racing and after installing the patch started up only to be met by a black screen. The menu music is playing so the game is clearly "working" (and therefore not a CTD) but there is nothing on the screen. Anyone else had similar problem and got a solution?

Never had this problem previously on this computer or with this monitor. Only thing different since I last played the game was I've installed a HP Printer. My system is XP. Would really appreciate some help!

Uninstall the printer drivers - the new gpxpatch is supposed to solve this problem, but if you don't have it then the printer drivers could be causing the problem
