GP4 AND SURROUND SYSTEM 5.1

Is gp4 compatible with a surround sytem 5.1? I experience sound problems using this surround sytem? Or can i calibrate gp4 in order to get all five boxes working properly?

I cannot drive my GP4 with 5.1 surround, only hear the cars traction control then. I think it only works with stereo, atleast for me

Anyone else using surround sytem 5.1 with gp4? or is it impossible?

i got the stereo upmixing to 5.1....

how did you do that? i use creative inspire 5.1 but i only have stereo sound

you need to turn on CMSS sound on if you are using a creative software...
thats presuming ur running a creative 5.1 sound card...

I'm using a Creative Audigy 2. 5.1 works fin for me

What do you mean with ...to turn on CMSS sound on?? How can i do that with my creative inspire 5.1?

what sound card are you using with it.
Im using a Creative Audigy 2 and theres a setting in the settings part (haha) that upmixes 2.1 to 5.1 sound called CMSS... if you turn it on, it'll up mix everything...

hm i'm having the same problems, i had to move to 2/2.1 to make gp4 play properly but sadly it hasnt helped all i can hear is the car humming and other cars sounding proper when i go to the t-cam i get the same effect. I use a Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio

i use Realtek High Definition Audio and i do not hear any surround sounds

I tried racing with no 3d options just the 2d one and it works fine now
