Looks suspiciously like a problem with the F3000 mod menu, of course I could be wrong. Try it without the mod loaded and see if it still crashes.

still crashes when i press escape..

I had same problem - see earlier posts - i still get the issue when I race in non cockpit view - when I select cockpit view it seems OK - not sure if this a coincidence or not ....
