Another GP4 crash...

My GP4 keeps locking up and the PC will then go to a blue screen which will say Windows has been shut down. The sound has frozen so is really annoying and then I have to turn the PC off manually. Sometimes it will reboot by itself.

Does anyone know what might be causing such a problem? Many thanks in advance.

do you have a error message ?????????????

restart your computer..at the beginning enter setup bios
set hyper threading to deactivate
and also type msconfig in (start - run) then uncheck the load startup group items.

Well I can't find the option to disable hyper threading.

But when I sent the error report to Microsoft, it said this:-

OK well I tried updating my Graphics drivers to see if that solved the problem... and it hasn't.

Has anyone else got any suggestions? Otherwise I won't be able to play GP4 anymore.

What i did is formatt your dir where you installed gp4 (please back up all stuff)and the reinstall it
first time i still got the blue screen but the second time . etc it worked for me

Do you mean delete everything and then start again, like in a clean one?

Are you using gpx-patch? If so, post the error log it creates on crash. Set verbosity in gpx-patch to high.

I had the same problem sometimes you pc restarts and you don't get an error log from gpxpatch

What drive? My main Hard Disk drive

Thing is i'm wondering whether it's something to do with some corrupt files in the folder, because it never used to happen when I had it in a different folder...

Hi,
I have the same problems, my computer reboots. I do have more then one install of GP4. Could this cause the problem?

But it only reboots when using the 2006/2007 mod. Other installs don't crash, so I thought it was caused by this mod. Any help appreciated!
