Help with a gamepad

I bought Logitech Precision gamepad but can't get it working properly with GP4. 
I prefer throttle button 2, brake button 1 and steering from the 8-way D-pad. The game seems to accept only the D-pad. It works from the D-pad but is difficult to drive. Calibration says "turn left and press fire button". Where is that fire button? Does GPxPatch affect this? I tried with WingMan profiler, it recognizes the pad but there's a profile only for Precision gamepad 2 on Logitech's site.
