MP3 to St1

Is there an easier way to get MP3 into the game without using CSM, then crashing the game, and nabbing the ST files from the sound folder to use in another version of GP4??

Why crash the game? Put the mp3 into Data\Music and you'll have st1 files next time you look.

Otherwise 'GP4 Sound' by Jon Walton can convert wav i think, and 'GPxBgSound' by Gilles Salerno

Mmmm, just clicked them both to download, and for me it says that the Zip file isn't a Proper Archive. Bizarre.

May be strange, but I've tried many times to just drop an mp3 file into the data/music folder and not once has it actually worked.

I never hear the song in the game menus at all...

I got it working, but the music in game isssssssss soooooooooooooooooooooo slllllllllllloooooooooowwwwwww!!!!

Not sure why, WAV file plays normally.

-Viper, this is happening wind i used the other program. With that here now:

Background Music Editor
Converts MP3 or wave files to GP3/GP4 background music files.

I open mp3 in some editor (my goldwave), save in wave, rename the files like tk1.wav and with program i import to the game.

Yeah I know what the problem was. Was saving the file in Stereo format for the WAV file. Make sure you save it (for me anyway it worked) as a Mono File! :0) That was me using Nero Wav Editor.
