I asked the same question last year and was told it would be ready. I never would have thought that a year later this mod would be still not be released. Quite incredible. Oh well, maybe another year and we'll see.

Not a Christmas release, mates. But it's close.

For Erix: What is the main problem on '91 mod? Is it something on mod or lack of time?

There is no problem. We just want everything right. This year we've been testing and adjusting the physics system, track by track. That means tweaking values in the performance, physics and magic data files and completing lap after lap to test and finalise. All that work was done by just one man who has very little spare time. He's finished now (with his work that is ) but checking every single file he tweaked. Once he's done that I can compile the lot and after some tests the mod can be released.

I can't wait for this mod! Many thanks to all the people working on it. Will this be a csm (please god no) or will it be released as a pure update for GP4?

Sorry if this is "common knowledge" I haven't read much on this mod.

it will be a csm file

if i remember correctly, it will also be released as a seperate non-csm update, but with limited features.
however, you might want to try it out when csm reaches final status and all known bugs are solved.
you can't really judge current csm as it's not finished yet.
and as always, feel free to tell me what you'd like to see different.

A seperate non-csm mod is in the pipeline but I'll concentrate first on the csm version (god yeah!). The non-csm mod will be a lite version and will be not be officially supported, as I will neither use nor test it myself (I don't want to spoil my clean gp4 installation).

You can always use csm to install the mod and then put together your own old-school mod from the unpacked files.
